LARFORD Lakes has been picked to host the England U-16s and U-21s angling trials over the next two Saturdays.
Squads of six will be selected from 25 hand-picked juniors who will then compete for their country at the forthcoming World Championships in Portugal.
The venue, which is rapidly gaining a reputation as the premier match water in the West Midlands, is based near Stourport and is owned by Severn Sports and Leisure.
England youth coach, Worcestershire-based Mark Downes, said: "Larford is the ideal choice of venue for the trials because the banks are perfect.
"As a mixed fishery, it will accommodate the styles of fishing they will be required to do in Portugal".
The fishery will also host the national finals of the Maver Club Angler of the Year competition from June 12 until 14.
