WYRE Forest Brintons put their disappointing league campaign behind them as they won the West Midlands League Division One South Cup.
They defeated Ludlow Town Reserves 1-0 in the final at Bridgnorth Town, thanks to Andy Bayliss's 65th-minute goal.
In an even first half, Andy Oakes's header just beat the bar for Forest Brintons and they created few clear-cut chances playing down the slope in the second 45 minutes.
But Bayliss broke the deadlock with a superb low shot through a crowd of players, giving the keeper no chance.
Try as Ludlow might, Forest would not surrender their lead with the back-three of Shaun Perry, Robert Dew and Neil Perks outstanding along with Simon Wills in goal.
The closest Ludlow came was when Adam Bowen blasted over the bar.
Wyre Forest Brintons: Wills, Perry, Perks, Dew, Bayliss, Costello, Jordan, Beard, Raybould, Oakes, Brown. Subs: Flowers, Andrews, Hughes, J Wassell, C Wassell.
