EVESHAM's Riverside and Parks Regeneration Programme will be marked on Sunday with the switch-on of the feature lights.
The lights illuminate both sides of the River Avon and Workman Bridge and, according to Lew Hammond, Evesham Market Towns Initiatives project manager, there is nothing to compare with it on the rest of the River Avon.
The event will also be the culmination of celebrations by representatives of Advantage West Midlands, Evesham Town and Wychavon District councils, the Market Towns Partnership and contractors that have been working on a number of regeneration projects in the parks and along the river.
The lights will be switched on at 10pm after the first of the two-day new Asparagus Festival, centred on Workman Gardens.
