A CONCERT by Bretforton Silver Band dedicated to the memory of the people who lost their lives in the M25 Springs Coaches accident in November attracted a capacity audience at Evesham Methodist Church.
All proceeds from the concert last Saturday were donated to the County Air Ambulance and a sum in excess of £1,000 was raised.
"The band performed an exciting programme, surprising people with their versatility, playing pieces such as Lord of the Rings, Gladiator and the Lion King," said band conductor John Wood. "In an emotionally charged concert, the whole audience was brought to its feet in a standing ovation after the performance of You'll Never Walk Alone."
Mr Wood said the band was now looking forward to a busy summer of engagements starting Sunday with the annual Asparagus Auction and Concert (7.30pm).
Mr Wood said: "The auction, which is the original asparagus event, attracts hundreds of people to the Fleece Inn, Bretforton, to bid for the best gras in the Vale."
