A TRIP to the spectacular San Lorenzo course in the Algarve awaits the winners of this month's regional rounds of the prestigious Lombard Trophy.
Local professionals and amateurs are in action at Whittington Heath, Lichfield on Wednesday, May 28 and at Enville, Stourbridge two days later.
Professional at Stratford-upon-Avon for ten years, David Sutherland, will be partnered by Phil McArthur, who plays off 20 and won the club's qualifier with a net score of 64.
Meanwhile, Ingon Manor pro Paul Taylor, who has been at the club for three years, will join amateur partner David Burn at Enville on Friday, May 30. The latter plays off 13 and qualified with a net score of 70.
Evesham professional Daniel Cummins will partner Dennis Ridsdale, alongside The Vale's Mark Fenning and Andy Owen and Chipping Norton duo Neil Rowlands and Richard Clark at the Stourbridge course.
There will be 74 pairs from all over the Midlands in action on the two days when a place in the final will be the prize for the winning pair.
