THE million-plus who collect their pensions from the post office are being bullied into thinking that they must open a bank, building society, or post office account just to get their pensions.
This isn't so.
The people who are normally the eldest and most vulnerable members of society who wish to continue to use a pension book should still be able to continue to use this method.
To demonstrate New Labour's democracy, the Government - recognising that the majority of the million pensioners could well wish to stay as they were with pension books - decided not to ask the pensioners whether they wanted the change.
These are changes which show the Government hell-bent on closing our post offices in one way or another.
