POLICE are appealing for information about an assault on a teenager which left him needing stitches to a head wound.
The 19-year-old suffered head injuries and a broken finger when he was attacked in Princess Way, Stourport, shortly after 3am on Sunday.
He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Worcester, but has since been released.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further inquiries.
North Worcestershire Police spokeswoman Joanne Hammond said: "It appears the victim was returning home after a night out when the assault took place.
"A forensic examination has taken place and a number of statements have been taken."
