SOUTH Shropshire's Active Sports campaign continues to offer opportunities for individuals to sample many different sports.
Among their latest initiatives are opportunities to try their hand at netball and an aquathlon (swim and run) event.
The offer to improve your netball skills, have fun playing games, and possibly the chance to represent your borough in the Shropshire Youth Games, will begin on Saturday, May 24, at Ludlow Leisure Centre.
Anyone interested in joining this course, which is aimed primarily at girls in school years 8 and 9, can contact Rosie Turner at the Active Sports office on 01743 255089.
This year's Shropshire Youth Games will feature an Aquathlon, swim and run event.
Budding triathletes are catered for with an introductory 'COME AND TRI IT' day run by specialist BTA national coach Steve Lumley. This will be held at the Quarry Swim Centre, Shrewsbury, during half-term on Wednesday, May 28, from 12 noon until 4pm.
For further details and entry forms, please contact the Active Sports team on 01743 255071, or via the website www.shropshiresport.org.uk, or e-mail activesports@shropshire-cc.gov.uk.
