A DOUBLE bill of historical re-enactments will come to life during the Bank Holiday weekend.
The Civil War era will return when Harvington Hall stages its latest Living History Days on Sunday and Monday with members of Harvington Household stalking the hall and garden in mid-17th century costumes.
The building was pillaged by Roundheads - the anti-Royalist rebels - in 1647 when horses, clothes, brass and bedding were taken. Billie O'Keeffe with one of the exhibits to be seen At Harvington Hall's Civil War weekend.
It is open on both days from 11.30am until 4.30pm.
And medieval re-enactment is set for Hartlebury Castle where the Merry Maytime fair will see actors recreate a 15th century camp.
Sir William Gascoigne's Fellowship will be camped in "Old Moat Coppice" for five days to give people an insight into the lives of their medieval ancestors.
Visitors to the Worcestershire County Museum on Sunday and Monday will see the actors brewing, cooking, candle dipping and making medicine for the treatment of wounds and diseases.
Laundering, playing traditional games, spinning and shoemaking are also on the agenda for the holiday weekend, along with displays of archery and other military skills used in the Wars of the Roses.
Activities from Tuesday until Thursday include storytelling by the camp mid-wife, soldier, servant and farmer.
Other activities set to take place throughout the grounds and galleries include music and verse from Elizabethan Muse in the 14th century Great Hall.
Visitors can take part in brass rubbing and baking and try writing with a quill pen.
