THE Evesham and District Association had its usual dreadful turnout at last week's annual general meeting.
The few that did bother to attend heard from treasurer Grahame Brown that the Association had a surplus of £259 from the last 12 months which offset a deficit of £18 from the previous year.
It was therefore agreed to leave player and team registration fees the same.
All officers were re-elected except for H20 Divisions secretary, Terry Lown, who stood down as he is leaving the area. Division Two secretary Rob Sexton agreed to take on the job.
The next meeting to hand in entries for next season will be at Wallace House Community Centre on Tuesday, August 19 from 7.30pm.
SDM Spinners' Andy Bryant and Luke Moffat completed a cup and league double when they won the H20 Plumbing and Heating Division 3A Knockout Cup final.
The youngsters beat their dads Bob Bryant and Rob Sinder-berry (Evesham Emperors) in the semi-final 4-1 to set up a final with Alan Chung and Zak Wilson (Evesham Eagles) who won a tight semi-final 3-2 against Don Gould and Graham Finch (St Peters).
Moffat beat Wilson in the first game of the final and Bryant beat Chung in a hard fought five-setter to make it 2-0.
Chung took the first set of game three against Moffat only to lose the next. The former then led 8-3 in set three and 8-4 in set four only for Moffat to come back to win both 11-9 and seal victory.
