POWICK Parish Church fete is being held on Saturday, June 7 from noon in Powick Parish Hall and on the hard parking area. Hot lunches will be served from noon till 2pm, with teas from 2-4pm. Ice cream and cold drinks will be available. Stalls include white elephant, cakes, books, toys, craft, tombola, raffle and lots of indoor and outdoor games. There will be entertainment from live instrumentalists, plus Powick hand bell ringers. Entry is free and there will be something for all ages. Any items for sale would be welcome. The proceeds for this year's fete is Loot for the Loo, for the inclusion of toilet facilities in St Peter's Church, Powick.
On Sunday, June 8 there will be a dog show and fun day in aid of Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter at Hawthorn Lane, Deblins Green, near Malvern. The companion (exemption) dog show will be held at the Deblins Green centre off the Malvern Road, entries from 10.30am. There will be trade stands, stalls and barbecue. Entertainment will be provided by Soft Option Appalachian Dancers. The event is sponsored by CSJ specialist canine feeds, all are welcome.
Another bargain book fair is being held at Powick parish hall on Sunday, June 8 from 10am-4pm. Refreshments on sale too.
