A SIGNED framed autograph of Coldplay, and an acoustic guitar will be up for grabs at an auction.

The auction is taking place at Worcester's Marr's Barr as part of a special fund-raising jamming night to drum up funds for Acorns Children's Hospice.

The night which also promises live music, has been organised by Vince Ballard, who does Wednesday night jamming sessions at The Marr's Bar.

Marr's Bar owner, Brian Marr has donated his venue for the fund-raising event.

Steve Strain, owner at Music City, The Tything, Worcester, has donated a number of items to be auctioned off including two sets of drum sticks autographed by Iron Maiden's drummer Nico McBrian, an autographed snare drum autographed by Nico, and an acoustic Homer Countryman guitar .

CDs from local artists including Jules Benjamin and Lukash have also been donated for the auction.

''Lots of people have been very generous so far.''

The jamming session will take place between 8.30pm to 10.30pm.

Brian Marr says there are some pre-selected special guests for the jamming session, but there will be slots for some of the audience to get up and have a jam.

Funky Skunk will be entertaining the audience with familiar songs by artisits including Elvis Costello and Van Morrison, The Specials and Madness.

''Funky Skunk try to do songs that everybody knows and nobody covers such as Madness' Baggy Trousers,'' says Brian.

Tickets can be bought from Music City or The Marr's Bar.
