UPTON'S Cajun and Zydeco Festival surpassed all expectations, according to its ecstatic organiser.
Martyn Smith said there had been full venues at almost all of the events over the three-days at Hanley Castle High School and The Swan pub.
Visitors from all over the country danced and listened to sounds of the 'deep south' and enjoyed food made to genuine Louisiana recipes.
"I thought it was smashing, a really good weekend," said Mr Smith. "It exceeded my expectations, everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
Mr Smith said the lessons learned from last year's inaugural festival helped to make this year a success.
"I feel extremely happy and very positive for the forthcoming events," he said.
Next year's festival dates are May 21, 22 and 23.
