A DECISION on the future of a home for the elderly disabled has been put off for another week.
Staff and residents at Tanglewood in Albert Road South, Malvern, will now have to wait while Sense, the charity that runs the home, extends its period of consultation.
The home has been warned it could close because of a lack of money available for its upkeep. Staff are worried that the residents, who are either deaf, blind or both, would not be able to find specialist care in the area.
Sense spokeswoman Anne Ryan said yesterday (Thursday): "We are still considering options and will make a decision in a week's time. "We can't really discuss the options that we're looking at but we hope to meet with Social Services and residents' relatives to discuss the way forward."
