Abseilers who leapt 130ft off the battlements at Eastnor Castle raised £29,500 for charity.
Among the 205 taking part on Sunday, on behalf of the RNIB, was 14-year-old Emma Hall, from Malvern, who raised £82.
"It was fantastic but very scary at the same time," she said.
Malvern's Rachel Knapper, who was taking part in her second abseil attemp, raised £140. Despite having lept from the top of Worcester's Giffard Hotel a few years ago, she said she still could not get used to "going over the edge".
"I'd completely forgotten what it was like but it was still really good," she said. "I think I enjoyed it more when I finished than actually when I was doing it, though."
Liz Harris, the RNIB's fundraising manager in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, said the £29,500 was the largest amount raised at a single event organised by the charity.
