ON behalf of the Worcestershire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), I would like to thank everyone who took part in the MNDA Motivation Challenge Tug-of-War at the Leigh and Bransford May Fair last Bank Holiday Monday.
Three plucky teams battled it out in aid of local people living with motor neurone disease. In first place, the Morgan pub team, in second place 1st Leigh Scouts and the gallant losers were the MNDA Motivators in third. You were all heroes - well done!
Thanks also go to Morgan Motors and Malvern Instruments for their sponsorship and the 1st Leigh and Bransford Scouts and village hall for the venue, with a special thank you to Mike George from the BBC and Graham Glanville for judging the event. The next event in the MNDA Motivation Challenge will be the Dragon Boat race in Worcester on June 8.
We are still looking for volunteers to join us in raising money for local people with MND. Anyone wanting to take part in an event or help in any way at all, please contact charity events co-ordinator Tim Stavert on (01886) 832906 or by email at future-site@supanet.com
