CIDERS and perrys from the Malvern Hills area proved their quality by winning prizes in a top competition.
A perry made by Richard Horne, of Cradley, won first prize in its class at the international competition at Hereford Cider Museum, with Knights Cider, of Storridge, taking second prize in the same category.
Knights also took top prize in the best-presented bottle category with its Malvern Gold and Malvern Oak ciders, with Cheyney Lodge Cider, of Bishop's Frome, third.
However, the champion's prize went to a cider maker from much further away - the Boston Beer Company, from the USA.
