THE Albrighton Woodland meeting at Chaddesley Corbett on Bank Holiday Monday (May 26) will decide the destiny of a majority of the West Midlands Area Championships awards.
Adrian Wintle appeared to have an unassailable lead in the race for the men's title and Northern Deals win at the Berkeley on Saturday looked to have sealed Pritchard's fate, but the old saying about 'you can't keep a good man down' has proved correct.
The Ledbury rider rode a four timer at Upper Sapey to force his way back into contention. Wintle is still in the driving seat because Pritchard would need to ride at least two winners at Chaddesley Corbett, but with Wintle now side lined following an injury anything can happen.
Polly Gundry scored 20 points at the Berkeley meeting and she now has a virtually unassailable lead in the race for the Ladies trophy.
The Novice Riders table is headed by 16-year-old Worcester schoolboy Tom Weston and it would really be a feather in his cap if he could secure the title at his first attempt.
