I READ with interest the proposals for improving the parking situation at the new hospital, that is, the introduction of clamping and increased charges.

Are the management in charge of the parking situation living in cloud cuckoo land?

The intention seems to be to dissuade people from using this new health facility or to force them on to public transport.

They seem to forget that the majority of people visiting the hospital are there due to ill health and are often accompanied by other people for support.

I'd be interested to know where the top management of the hospital park. I suspect they don't arrive by bus.

The only reason visitors to the hospital park "illegally" is because there are no "legal" places to park due to a total lack of foresight by the planners.

Anybody with a modicum of common sense can see that the car park is totally inadequate for the size of the hospital.
