A FORMER car showroom is shaping into a "vibrant city-living development" complete with hi-tech fittings.

Neil Grinnall Homes' canal-side development, on Bath Road, Worcester, is on the site of the old Brooklyn Ford car showroom.

There are 41 apartments, penthouses and town houses being built alongside the Worcester & Birmingham Canal, which has also been given a face-lift.

The homes are plugged in to all the latest technology with numerous TV and telephone points and data cabling with optional upgrades and even speaker cabling in the ceilings.

Headache

Neil Grinnall believes today's busy lifestyles mean people do not have the time to worry about getting suppliers in to fit things like extra phone points or wire the hi-fi up to other rooms.

"Finding the right supplier or craftsman to do these niggling things can be a real headache for our purchasers who often have very busy schedules," he said.

"We are trying to remove some of the hassle out of moving home.

"This latest development is in the Grinnall tradition of transforming defunct city centre sites into vibrant city living spaces."

Specialist interior designers John Hunt and Associates have designed the interior lay-outs.

The marketing suite is now open on Bath Road.
