Owners of a Worcester caf, which was mistakenly thought to have burnt down, have told customers - "we are still standing and open for business".
Confusion arose after four cars were set alight outside the Hot Pot Caf in Sherriff Street, Shrub Hill, on Friday, May 18.
Firefighters had to break into the premises to rescue two tenants in a flat above, but the caf itself only suffered minor fire and smoke damage.
However, rumours spread that the property had been gutted by the blaze and the firm's trade has dropped dramatically as a result.
"We have people turning up to have a look at the damage, expecting to see charred remains," said Bonny Green, who owns the cafe with business partner Jean Davies.
"We had a broken window and some smoke damage - no more.
"I would like to let customers know we are up and running and that we still offer the same fantastic range of sandwiches, salads, breakfasts and dinners that we always have."
