Worcester City have put Nationwide Conference referee Steve Dorr on standby for an early pitch inspection at St George's Lane ahead of Saturday's FA Trophy third round clash with Newport County.
The Worcester-based official has been earmarked to carry out an inspection on Saturday morning if necessary, with the cold weather expected to ease by the weekend.
Freezing temperatures wiped out a number of fixtures last night including the Nationwide League Division Three clash between Exeter City and Kidderminster Harriers.
Also off was Evesham United's re-arranged Dr Martens Western Division match with Mangotsfield United at Common Road.
Pershore Town's Worcester Royal Infirmary tie at home to Feckenham fell foul of the weather as did Fernhill County Sports' Midland Combination Premier Division game at Alvechurch.
Today's clash between Worcester City's and Northwich Victoria's academy sides in the PASE League at County Sports has also been postponed.
