HISTORY buffs are being encouraged to dig deep and dust off any old bits of pottery or coins for an archaeology roadshow.
The Four Parishes Archaeology Group (4PAG) has a variety of experts on standby to scrutinise any unusual objects which appear at the roadshow to be held at the Memorial Hall in Pinvin, near Pershore, next Saturday.
The group, which is based on the parishes neighbouring the Wyre Piddle bypass, is particularly interested in finds unearthed by local residents in Moor, Throckmorton, Pinvin and Hill.
"Everyone is welcome to bring their finds for identification from anywhere in the county," said a 4PAG spokesman.
"They will be able to learn a bit more about us as well as having a look at an exhibition of some our most recent finds," she said.
The group was set up in August 2001 with the help of county archaeologist, Malcolm Atkin, after experts found two skeletons, Roman building foundations and Bronze Age burial urns on the route of the Wyre Piddle bypass.
The archaeology roadshow will be held between 11am and 4pm.
