ALLAN Davies insists Worcester City can still bounce back in the title race despite slipping to their third defeat of the season at Newport County.
But the full-back admits the Tamworth clash next Saturday takes on huge importance after their defeat in Wales.
"The Tamworth game is going to be a massive game and we certainly don't want to get beat there," he said.
"But we can't worry too much about them or anyone else, we just have to keep doing what we've been doing which is winning games.
"If Tamworth win more games than us then they'll deserve to win it but I think we can bounce back.
"It's a clich about not worrying about others but that's the way we have to approach it."
Davies scored his first competitive goal for the club in last week's 5-0 win against Chelmsford and it was a moment he will savour for a long while.
"It's always nice to score especially for me because I don't get too many," he said.
Meanwhile John Barton retains faith in his side's ability to score goals and sustain their title challenge.
Despite drawing 11 blanks in 28 competitive games the St George's Lane boss said he has no doubts about their ability to hit the net.
"The faith I've got in the players has been vindicated and you can reel off the names, Webster, Owen, Middleton, Holmes, Wilde - they've all got goals in them," he said.
"There was concern about our ability to score but four against Hastings and five against Chelmsford shows there are goals.
"It keeps coming back to the fact that you don't press the panic button over certain aspects of play that over a period of time causes everybody similar problems."
City's talented young midfielder Liam McDonald was named player of the tournament in the recent National PASE six-a-side competition.
McDonald won a £140 pair of Adidas Predator boots as a prize and helped City's academy side reach the semi finals at the Derby JJB Soccer Dome.
There was further good news for McDonald and Richard Tomkins with both selected to represent a PASE XI to play an England Under 18s tame in January at Lilleshall.
If they do well both could be in the frame for a place in the under 18 Schools and Colleges squad.
PASE stands for Programme for Academic and Sporting Excellence.
