JUST how are Worcester City going to arrest their goalscoring drought?
It's now six hours and nine minutes of competitive action since they last found the net - Mark Owen in the 2-0 win over Cambridge City on October 19.
Four subsequent games have brought nothing, and with two blank sheets preceding the Cambridge game, that amounts to a measly two goals in seven games for John Barton's men.
And for a side with serious title ambitions, a total of 17 goals in 17 games is just not good enough.
Compare that with new leaders Tamworth, whose strike rate is exactly double that of City's and who have strung together six successive wins.
All right, City's defensive record is still the best in the league, but that won't bring you honours unless you're doing the business at the other end.
I believe that in the continued absence of Stewart Hadley, then Owen and Darren Middleton should be City's preferred strike force.
Adam Webster, who has played up front in recent games, seems a little short on confidence at the mo-ment and now may be the time to give him a rest.
Middleton is still City's top scorer and although Owen has only two goals to his name, you always feel he will hit form soon and it may take just one strike to set him back on his old prolific ways again.
City's team that beat Aldershot in the FA Cup in 1983-84 has been invited to the FA Trophy tie against Aldershot Town on November 30.
The players will be introduced to the crowd at half-time, and will also attend a pre-match hot buffet reception in the Harry Knowles Lounge at 1pm.
Supporters are invited to attend, and tickets for the reception cost £13 for adults and £10 concessions including ground admission.
Tickets are available from the club on 01905-23003 or Richard Widdowson on 07713-062595.
Stand tickets for the Aldershot tie are now on general sale at £9 for adults and £6 for concessions.
They are on sale from the club offices from 10am-5pm and from the social club from 7.30-10pm.
Ground admission on the day is £8 for adults and £5 concessions. The match is all-ticket for Aldershot fans, who have been allocated 650 tickets.
City have appointed Richard Widdowson to the new post of Commercial Development Officer.
Club chairman Dr Michael Sorensen said: "Richard has been helping the club for many years and wants to help us further on the commercial front.
"There are many business and associations around Worcester that can benefit from using the club's facilities and promotional opportunities and Richard's task will be to develop these."
