YOUNGSTERS with special needs will be going on a trip to Legoland next month following an appeal in the Advertiser.
We reported in March that WASP Special Needs Club organised a trip away once a year because many of its members never had a holiday.
The club had to raise about £900 but had only £50 due to limited funds until a company, organisations and individuals pledged cash towards the cause, meaning a total of 53 children with special needs, their siblings, parents and carers will be setting off on the trip.
The club, which was set up about 25 years ago, meets from 10am-noon at Matchborough Soft Play Centre in Dilwyn Close.
About 20-25 youngsters attend the club but only about half have special needs.
