SEVEN ducks and a distinctive pure white drake have been stolen from a Kempsey garden in an overnight raid.
All were show birds and are unable to fly, but they disappeared from their pen between 10.30pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday.
Three of the ducks have mallard colouring and two of these have rings on their legs with the stamp of the Poultry Club, Great Britain.
Another of the females is white, one is black and the two others are brown and white.
Kempsey beat manager PC Alan Naulls said it was unusual for ducks to be stolen, but he could not say at this stage whether it was a random theft or whether someone knew that the ducks were show birds.
He appealed for anyone with information about the theft to call the police on 08457 444 888 and quote 42C/260503.
