FAMILIES are being urged to pack a picnic and learn more about an ancient woodland.
A jubilee walk and picnic is being held at Queenswood in Herefordshire, on Wednesday, June 25, as part of the Council for the Protection of Rural England's (CPRE) Great Landscapes Week.
The walk, which is free, will start at 6.30pm at the visitor centre at Queenswood, which is on the A49 Leominster to Hereford road.
"Everyone is welcome to come along, bring a picnic and enjoy the woodland," said organiser Stella Woodman.
The CPRE, which campaigns to protect the countryside, has organised the walk and a range of other events, to promote the great outdoors during landscape week which ends on Saturday, June 28.
