BROMSGROVE Hockey Club kicked-off their Summer League campaign with a 2-0 victory over New Sihillians.
With goalkeeper Ben Dudley available for the first time for this season, and a mixture of first and second team players, Bromsgrove started strongly last Wednesday.
They took the lead before half time when Ben Husbands' shot was deflected past the goalkeeper by Mark Robinson.
New Silhillians came close to equalising when they flicked a penalty flick onto the post and were reduced to ten men soon after.
The hosts scored a second after David Bower's shot was kicked into his own goal by the goalkeeper.
