A £4 MILLION luxury apartment block is set to be built in Evesham Road after all - despite initial worries from council planning officers.
The plan for 24 flats at 632 Evesham Road, just south of Crabbs Cross Island, was originally recommended for refusal by planning officers at last week's planning committee meeting.
But following design changes, officers recommended the plans go ahead at the last minute subject to some legal agreements.
The Dodd Homes scheme was originally said to be 'overbearing' by officers though it had drawn positive comments from councillors at previous planning meetings.
Steve Dodd, of Dodd Homes, was jubilant following the latest decision.
The flats are set to include an underground car park and leisure facilities like a gym, sauna and hot tub.
