ASHLEY Giles made 52 from 80 balls as England cruised to an innings and 92 runs victory against Zimbabwe in the First npower Test at Lord's inside three days.
The Droitwich Spa-based Warwickshire spinner, who also took one wicket in the tourists' second innings, hit three fours and one six as he helped England post a massive 472 in their first innings.
Zimbabwe were dismissed for 147 and, after following on 325 runs adrift, were bowled out a second time for 223 to suffer a comprehensive innings and 92 runs humiliation.
Lancashire's James Anderson took a remarkable five wickets as Nasser Hussain's side sealed the win last Saturday.
England and Giles now prepare for the Second Test at the Riverside on Thursday, June 5.
