A SHOW starring four comics brings humour from the era of Granada TV's The Comedians to the Palace Theatre on Friday.
The two-hour show, A Comedy Night Out, brings together a variety of humour from favourite Midland comics Johnny Carroll, Ian 'Sludge' Lees, Lee Wilson and Tony Palmer.
Tony Palmer began as lead singer with Digger and The Diggermen but his talent for offbeat comedy led to an appearance on TV's New Faces and he is now established as one of the area's favourite comics.
Lee Wilson was a winner on New Faces and appeared for two years on The Comedians and is now a popular after-dinner comedian.
Ian 'Sludge' Lees was twice voted Midlands Comedian of the Year and came runner-up to Tom O'Connor in the Club Mirror Awards.
He became a regular member of the Tiswas cast and has appeared on various TV comedy shows.
Johnny Carroll is one of the original stars of The Comedians and is also recognised for his guitar and vocal talents.
Tickets cost £12 and £11 from the Tourist Information Centre or on 65203.
