CHILDREN from Pitcheroak School in Batchley excelled themselves on Thursday when they took to the playing fields of Worcester University for a county soccer tournament.
The event, which was the first of its kind, was organised by the Worcestershire Football Association for children with disabilities or learning difficulties from schools across the county.
Pitcheroak School, based in Willow Way, took 24 of its pupils aged between 12 and 16 to the tournament, which went down a storm, according to head of senior school Andy Sherriff.
It is now hoped the tournament will become an annual fixture in the calendar.
