SATURDAY'S Open match at the Fishery produced some encouraging catches for the future with roach, skimmers, chub, tench and dace all in the nets.
All types of carp were also netted on a day when Gary Sum-mers took first place ahead of Gary Seadon and Tony Brooks.
The next Open match is on Saturday, June 14, draw at 9am.
Opens on Tuesday nights start next week with fishing for three hours after the draw at 5.30pm. All are welcome.

The society have appointed Kathleen Davis as its new president.
It's four years since Councillor Joyce Brown relinquished the post and all members are delighted at "Kath's" appointment.

A DOZEN members fished at the Jubilee Fishery on Sunday when they found the weather to their liking.
Fishing off permanent peg 39, Ray Woods was soon into the fish and put 7-4-0 on the scales to record his first win of the season.
In joint second place were Barry Castle and Rita Barnett with 5-8-0 each.
The winner completed the week's triple when he lifted the Golden Peg award and weekly raffle prize.
Members who have booked in with the match secretary are reminded to meet at this week's venue for the draw at 8am.
