REDDITCH Cricket Club kick-started their season in style at the weekend.
After waiting three weeks for their first win, two came along at once for Nev Mason's side who beat Wednesbury on Saturday before destroying Penkridge on Monday.
Bowlers Dan Fredrick and Robin Biddle bowled ten consecutive maidens as Penkridge were skittled out for 49.
At one point, the shell-shocked visitors were stumbling at four wickets for three runs and the hosts ran out comfortable winners. Forty points hoisted the Bromsgrove Road side to sixth in Division Two West and only 23 points off the leaders after five matches.
Redditch visit the team struggling second from bottom in the league (1pm start) without bowler Steve Merry.
Merry opened the bowling attack in Saturday's win over Wednesfield but was forced to retire after suffering a torn calf muscle.
Jeff Russell took over and took six for 52 with Mason returning figures of four for 34.
