Hewell opened up a 17 point gap on third placed Alvechurch and Hopwood III in Division Five.
The Donkey Hole Lane side sit in the second promotion place and took a firmer grip with a seven wicket win at home to Knighton-on-Teme at the weekend.
With Church suffering a losing draw and Teme Valley's match at Cutnall Green abandoned, Hewell opened up a comfortable points cushion and visit leaders Stourbridge on Saturday (2pm start) knowing only a point separates the two.
