A SNOOKER star from Droitwich Spa has rounded off a superb debut season by winning two trophies.
Garry Ford was victorious in the Guardian Cup and John Yates Shield, defeating Scot Cater and Andy Kings respectively, earlier this month.
That means he has won two of the eight individual competitions on offer in the Droitwich and District Snooker League this year.
He also achieved the most league wins in division one - 21 victories from 23 frames - and was part of the town's Snooker Centre A division one championship winning team last month.
And as if that wasn't enough, Garry compiled the highest break in winning both his trophies, 48 in the John Yates Shield and 46 in the Guardian Cup.
His 69 clearance was also the best in the Raven Bowl although he did not win the event.
Garry has played in the Birmingham leagues but this was his first year competing in and around Droitwich.
He said: "It's my first time in the league and I didn't think I would win as many as I did."
