A BROMSGROVE school has been rewarded for giving its pupils sporting opportunities.
Parkside Middle School, in Stourbridge Road, has received a National Sportsmark from Sport England in recognition of its commitment to physical education and providing sport.
The Sportsmark is awarded to schools who encourage students in sport, both in school and in the community. Parkside is one of 509 schools across the country to receive the award.
Margaret Hughes, head of girls PE at the school, said: "PE and sport is a high priority in our school but this recognition by Sport England gives us special credence that staff and pupils can shout about."
