AN impressive £2,000 was raised in just 30 minutes when more than 200 people gathered for a celebration on Sunday.
For the first time, Muslims marched from land earmarked for a new mosque in Smallwood to their current mosque on Easemore Road to mark the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him.
A fund-raising campaign for money to build the new mosque formed part of the celebrations and collected £2,000.
