BROADWAY played Bredon in two National competitions over the Bank Holiday weekend and emerged victorious on each occasion.

The Cotswolds club recorded another comprehensive win in their second game in the EBA Top Club competition when they won on all five rinks at Bredon.

The rink skipped by Mark Rainbow won 29-5, while Paul Speake won the triples 20-15.

The closest games were the pairs won by Colin Cooper and Don Bailey 22-21, while And-rew Walters held his nerve to overcome James Bolt who came back to 20-20 after trailing 20-15.

Game down with the last wood to bowl, Walters trailed the jack to win the game.

Broadway Red played Bredon in the National Double Rink competition on Sunday when they triumphed 47-39 after a tense finish.
