OVERSLEY Wood has been made more user-friendly by the Forestry Commission.
Wheelchair and pram users will now have to call Forester Richard Boles just once a year to get the combination for a new lock at the wood.
In the past, users had to ask for the padlock key anytime they wanted a wide access to the 90-hectare woodland.
But now all they have to do is call up Mr Boles, who will give out the combination.
The regular entrance to the site has also been changed after the old kissing gate was removed and a narrow pedestrian gap was made.
Mr Boles said a lock had to be kept on the entrance as a guard against vandalism and misuse of the woodland.
Anyone who wants to make a note of the new code, which will be changed every April, can call Mr Boles on 01299 266302.
