POLICE officers attended the Midlands' biggest gay and lesbian party at the weekend.
West Mercia Constabulary was at Birmingham Pride on Sunday to forge closer links with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gender communities.
The event, which attracts more than 100,000 people over three days, was attended by members of the force's Race and Diversity Directorate along with officers and staff from Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
Assistant Chief Constable Ian Arundale and Chief Supt Suzette Davenport, commander of the North Worcestershire Division, which polices Redditch, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster, were also there.
