AT the May meeting, president Sue Canfield was pleased to announce membership had increased.
A lot of business and correspondence was dealt with - the group coffee morning and sale at Kington with Dormston Hall; the successful ACWW coffee morning and Fair Trade Table held at Jackie Gregory's home; and Stella Wallis reported work on the improvements for the village hall had begun.
Carol Ross told members more about the Almost August outing and Jane Mobray gave notice of the cinema visit the following week.
The WI adviser discussed the resolutions to be put at the AGM in London in June, which included subjects such as care for the elderly, vocational training and the problem of obese children.
Stella Wallis gave a delightful flower arrangement demonstration, the products of which were raffled.
