EXPECT to see Jim Jenner jumping for joy when he touches down next season. For the powerhouse number eight has a new love in his life - gymnastics!
Jenner, who has just returned from a break in New York, is hoping the extra flexibility will see him vault to new heights next season as Worcester Rugby Club look to finally somersault into the Premiership.
"I absolutely love gymnastics," he said. "I've been doing quite a bit since we finished training and it is a great exercise.
"Somersaults, handstands - I just love playing about with the different disciplines.
"It's nice to get into other sports and I've also been judo training and playing squash."
Worcester's supporters' player of last season is one of the main candidates, along with Craig Chalmers, to take over the captaincy from the departed Kingsley Jones next season.
And the 30-year-old former Newcastle Falcons star admits he cannot wait for the season to start.
"I think our coaches John Brain and Andy Keast have made some very clever signings," he said.
"The club does not have a reputation for making clever acquisitions and in the past may have brought people in on reputation.
"However, I think the players they have brought in all fit into a mould of being hungry to play first team rugby and hungry to get into the Premiership.
"I have a great deal of confidence in the coaches and I don't think supporters will be disappointed next season.
"I'm really looking forward to the campaign because, towards the end of last season, there was no doubt we were the best team in the division. Now I hope we can start where we left off."
