WORCESTER Rugby Club's women look set to play another key role in England's second Test clash with Australia in Newcastle today.
Sixways' winger Nicky Crawford was the undoubted star of the show in the opening test of England's tour Down Under when her double-try burst led them to a 41-19 humbling of the Aussies.
With the scores level 19-19 at half-time, after three Shelley Rae penalties, a Teresa Andrews try and a touch-down from Crawford, England brushed the home team aside with a stunning second half display.
The visitors scored 22 unanswered points from another Rae penalty and tries from Emily Feltham and Paula George.
Rae kicked two conversions, including the extra points for Crawford's second try.
Crawford will again be the major threat facing the Aussies today when she takes her place in the side to face the Wallaroos while fellow Sixways player Jo Yapp starts at scrum-half.
Nicola Goodwin has to once again be content with a place on the substitutes bench.
The hooker certainly stood out in England's midweek win over Australia A but for the wrong reasons.
Goodwin was sin-binned just before half-time in the 21-18 victory at Waratah Stadium, Concord.
However, the tourists hung on for the win with Crawford again among the try scorers.
The England squad travel to New Zealand after the second Test clash for two Tests against the World Champions.
