THE history of Stourport's canal basins will come to life next month - complete with a costumed guide.
Nationally famous publisher George Nicholson, who lived in the town for 17 years until his death in 1825, will "escort" visitors on the guided walks scheduled for this Sunday and June 22.
Tours last up to one-and-a-half-hours and start from Stourport Lock Visitor Information Centre at 2.30pm. To reserve a place or find out about other events in the area contact British Waterways on 01785 284253.
