NEARLY 600 youngsters aged from two to 10 will be taking part in a special sports day at Evesham High School next Tuesday.
Behind the day are Mark Lewis, Matthew Brace, Amy Davies and Kirsty Lea - all 17-year-old students at Evesham High School studying for AS levels.
Mark explained: "As part of our course we have put together this event for sport for children across the area to try and raise mass participation in sport in Evesham."
Taking part in the activities, which take place between 9am and 1pm, will be 530 Year 2 to 5 pupils from first schools and 60 nursery school children.
"With the backing of Top Link Sports, we have designed the day to include football, cricket, hockey and rounders as well as fun events with a sports theme," Mark said.
He added: "We have been on coaching courses at Loughborough and Worcester to learn how to run the programmes and, on Tuesday, we shall also have 80 qualified coaches there to have the best possible fun."
