At the may meeting of this Kidderminster club, Michael Kettle gave an illustrated talk on Canalside Walks.
He spoke about the paths alongside the canals, which were previously used by horses, then used to tow the many narrowboats or barges, before engine power.
These footpaths are ideal today for leisurely walks away from busy roads and offer the chance to see rare wildlife such as herons, otters and kingfishers.
The lunch venue for June 3 is the newly refurbished Three Crowns and Sugarloaf.
Those attending should meet at noon for 12.30pm.
The June 17 meeting at Trinity Church Centre, Kidderminster, will feature a talk on Lunch with the Queen by Joy Pinder. The meeting will start at 2pm.
