GET your rock 'n' roll trousers at the ready and dust off those blue suede shoes - Marty Wilde and the Wildcats are coming to Evesham next weekend.
Hailed as the King of British Rock 'n' Roll, Marty is embarking on his first solo theatre tour for years.
Marty will be backed by his famous six-piece band, which also performs the first half of the show. He will be performing some of his own old favourites as well as paying homage to some fondly remembered old friends who, with him, shaped British rock in the 1950s and 60s. A particular tribute will be a section dedicated to his friend Billy Fury, with a medley of his finest hits.
The result is altogether set to be an evening of all the favourites, like Jezebel, C'mon Everybody, Donna, Teenager in Love, Sea of Love, Rubber Ball and many more.
Marty Wilde and the Wildcats perform their show Born to Rock 'n' Roll at The Lifford Hall, Broadway, on Saturday, June 7, and at Evesham Arts Centre on Sunday, June 8, at 8pm.
Tickets, £15, are available from Jelfs Newsagents in Broadway, The Book Centre in Library Arcade, Evesham, or from Dave Smith on 01386 852654.
