POET, broadcaster and commentator Ian McMillan is coming to Malvern for a show at The Chase school.
He will perform his Big Family Show at the school's Drama Studio on Thursday, June 12, at 7.30pm.
Ian has been a poet for more than 20 years and has written poems for BBC1's Football Focus, Sky News and Radio 5 Live's Sport on 5 programmes.
As well as numerous appearances on television and radio, Ian is also Humberside Police's beat poet, the world's first poet-in-residence with a police force.
He is also poet-in-residence for Barnsley Football Club and Yorkshire TV's investigative poet.
He hosts Radio 3's The Verb, dedicated to investigating spoken words around the globe, and writes articles for the Mail On Sunday, The Guardian and the Barnsley Chronicle.
Other writing includes four one-woman shows for performer Ruth Curtis and journalism for Q, Mojo, Poetry Review and the Yorkshire Post.
His performance work includes thousands of gigs since the mid-seventies, including ten years with Circus of Pets and three years with the late Martyn Wiley as Yakety Yak.
